| Summary: | The establishment of patrons is also an interesting phenomenon from a sociological and political point of view. Current political factors influence the policy of cities establishing their patrons. The aim of the article is to present the patrons of provincial cities, with special attention to the criterion of gender. A comparative method was used to analyze whether there were common factors determining the choice of a patron. The conclusions proved that the patrons of the cities are saints and overwhelmingly men. |
