Modern data on the biological activity (bactericidal/bacteriostatic, antiviral, anti-biofilm, antiinflammatory, immunomodulatory, and antioxidant properties) of marine algae polysaccharides are presented. The possibilities of using seaweed polysaccharides as the basis of medicines, dietary supplements and functional food products for the prevention and treatment of infectious diarrhea are evaluated. |
