| description | O objetivo deste estudo consistiu em analisar a variação espaço-temporal do uso e cobertura da terra no município de Exu – PE. Para gerar os mapas utilizou-se imagens do satélite Landsat 5 e Landsat 8. Para classificação das imagens, gerouse uma nuvem com 100 pontos em ambiente SIG. Os resultados indicaram que o município apresentou uma redução das áreas de vegetação nativa nos últimos 10 anos. As áreas de vegetação de Caatinga, passaram de 30% em 2006, para 24% do território em 2016. Outra classe representativa na área é a Floresta Estacional Decidual que sofreu redução, passando de 29% (2006) para 27% em 2016. O ritmo de desmatamento na região possui relação direta com as práticas agropecuárias adotadas. Um dos principais modelos agrícolas na região, o de Sequeiro, teve sua área ampliada neste intervalo de 10 anos. Passando de 41% para 49%.
SPACE-TEMPORAL ANALYSIS OF LAND USE AND COVERAGE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF EXU, PE
ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to analyze the space-time variation of land use and land cover in the municipality of Exu - PE. Landsat 5 and Landsat 8 images were used to generate the maps. To classify the images, a cloud with 100 points was generated in a GIS environment. The results indicated that the municipality presented a reduction of the areas of native vegetation in the last 10 years. The vegetation areas of Caatinga increased from 30% in 2006 to 24% of the territory in 2016. Another representative class in the area is the Decidual Seasonal Forest, which decreased from 29% (2006) to 27% in 2016. The Deforestation rate in the region is directly related to the agricultural practices adopted. One of the main agricultural models in the region, that of dry-farming, had its area enlarged in this interval of 10 years. Moving from 41% to 49%.
