Summary:The locomotive wheel acceleration velocity was defined as a single comparison condition in the automatic sanding control logic of “Shenhua”eight-axle electric locomotive at present, but the condition was insufficient to reflect the actual demand according to complex locomotive operating environment. So in some conditions, the sanding logic might cause less sanding and dependent on artificial intervention, or it might cause excessive sanding and cause adverse effects. A new kind of evaluation method-muti-criterion sanding logic based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was proposed. This method took into account the actual operation conditions of locomotive to improve intelligence of the sanding control logic, and reduce manual intervention.
