Description
Summary:We present the case of a 15-year-old girl with no significant medical history who developed a progressively enlarging, painless swelling in her forearm over a period of 3 years. Imaging revealed a lytic lesion with a “sunburst” periosteal reaction, and histological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of infantile myofibromatosis. Despite chemotherapy with Vinblastine and Methotrexate, no improvement was observed, and surgical options, including amputation, were considered but declined by the patient. This case highlights the importance of imaging in diagnosing and evaluating the extent of myofibromatosis, while emphasizing the need for personalized treatment approaches and further research into effective therapies for advanced or inoperable cases.
