| Summary: | Debate is one of the most interesting tools used in didactics because of its potential to combine the practical application of knowledge in a specific field, the activation of participants in the classes, as well as the development of their soft skills. The analysis in this article presents the Oxford debate format and how it can be implemented methodically in education of cultural diplomacy. Furthermore, an important element of the considerations in the text is the development of issues related to the methodological potential of the debate itself in the above-mentioned context.
