description With the increase of EMU speed, pantograph catenary offline has become a common and inevitable phenomenon in high-speed EMU operation. The network voltage interruption caused by pantograph catenary offline will affect the reliable operation of EMU traction system. Based on the traction system of a high-speed EMU, the composition of the traction system and the current protection scheme of the network voltage interruption were introduced, and an adaptive lifting scheme for the short-term pantograph catenary offline was proposed, so as to reduce the impact of the short-term pantograph catenary offline on the traction system and improve the train operation efficiency. The ground test results and line operation evaluation data showed that the proposed pantograph catenary offline adaptability improvement scheme was effective.
