Parametric Study of Entropy Generation in Magnetohydrodynamic Casson Fluid Flow on a Porous Stretching Sheet under an Inclined Magnetic Field

This study presents the analytical solutions of the entropy production of magnetohydrodynamic Casson fluid flow on a porous extending sheet. An investigation was conducted to analyze the role of permeability, inclined magnetic force, radiation, Joule dissipation, viscous dissipation, and heat genera...

description This study presents the analytical solutions of the entropy production of magnetohydrodynamic Casson fluid flow on a porous extending sheet. An investigation was conducted to analyze the role of permeability, inclined magnetic force, radiation, Joule dissipation, viscous dissipation, and heat generation/absorption on the momentum and energy equations leading to entropy generation. A closed-form energy equation solution was achieved by utilizing the confluent hypergeometric function. The presented results showed that entropy production is directly related to the Eckert number and inversely related to the Darcy number and the Casson parameter. By increasing the Casson parameter from 0.2 to 100 in the high suction mode, the local Nusselt number was increased by 204.6%.
