description Abstract: this article presents the specific form that takes between Greece and Turkey what is now called nostalgia tourism or roots tourism, that is to say a return, in the form of a “tourist” trip (term objected to by those concerned), refugees/exchanged persons from the Treaty of Lausanne or their descendants, the "children of Lausanne" (Lozan’ın Coçukları or Παιδιά της Λωζάνης) descendants to their place of origin. The accounts of the participants in these journeys show both the perpetuation through the generations of the memory of a lost paradise, but also identical emotions in the two populations, as well as the same desire to build a peaceful future.
