description In view of the problem of parameter change and load disturbance in the operation of six-phase induction motor, a new vector control method of backstepping adaptive for six-phase induction motor was proposed based on its mathematical model. This method used the nonlinear backstepping controller to replace the traditional PI controller to realize the real-time estimation of the rotor resistance and load torque, which could guarantee the system to realize the tracking control of the given signal under the change of the parameters. The simulation results in MATLAB/Simulink showed that comparing with the traditional PI control method, the proposed control method could ensure the global stability of the system and improve the dynamic and static performance and robustness of the system.
