description For the wave cylinder,three wavelength models were established. The large eddy simulation method is used to analyze the flow characteristics of wave members with convection angle under high Reynolds number. The velocity and pressure distribution laws of wave members with different wavelengths were investigated,and characteristics about time-domain and frequency-domain of the circumferential pressure coefficient,drag and lift were discussed. The results show that the larger the surface inclination,the higher the surface pressure variation. The smaller the wavelength is,the larger the resistivity of the member and the main peak ranges. According to the characteristics of flow fields,a wave member with a spatial AOA of λ/D<sub>m</sub>=3. 26 obtains better drag and vibration reductions,compared λ/D<sub>m</sub>= 5. 5,λ/D<sub>m</sub>= 3. 26 and λ/D<sub>m</sub>= 2. 24. These findings are vitally significant and valuable for researches and applications about flow characteristics of wave cylinder.
