Summary:It analyzed the solutions for failure of the cascaded power electronic converter, such as the sym-bypass in three-phase, neutral point drift technology and redundant power cell, and introduced the operation principle, the characteristic of different bypass structures for power cell and the discussion for the applications of the bypass structure in different situation. The influence of bypass structure for power cell on the reliability of converter was also analyzed.
