Description
Summary:In this work, an experimental approach was used to evaluate the usefulness of the biospeckle technique in the study of the blood coagulation process. Partial thromboplastin times with activator were analyzed in normal plasma, FactorVIII-deficient plasma, and a mixture of both. The results show a correlation between changes in speckle patterns and fibrin mesh formation in normal and pathological samples. Consequently, the biospeckle technique can be a useful toolto evaluate hemostasis and the changes generated in fibrin polymerization in the face of deficiencies or interferences.
