description This study aims to identify significant risks and risk mitigation within a sustainable agri-fresh food supply chain to enhance the agri-fresh food system, particularly concerning tropical fruits in Indonesia. The study employs a combination of fuzzy logic and DEMATEL methods to identify and explain causal and effect factors. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify and ascertain the most significant risk factors within a sustainable supply chain. Additionally, academic and industry experts were consulted to evaluate these individual risk factors to ensure their interrelations. Fuzzy sets were employed to analyse these interrelations among different risk factors. This research reveals that the most substantial risk facing businesses is economic, followed by risks related to supply and competition. Effective financial protection, supplier diversification, and inclusive forecasting models provide a solid defence against such risks, thus ensuring the sustainability and profitability of ongoing operations in the industry. This article offers practical recommendations for decision-making to facilitate the establishment of a sustainable agri-fresh food system in Indonesia.
