description War is always a strong, shocking event for people. In times of peace, people have opportunities to directly influence their lives, make plans, and implement them. War disrupts all these processes. Then a person has a strong feeling that they cannot control their life, and with this comes a feeling of helplessness, a sense of objectivity in the face of this terrible catastrophe. Armed conflicts always result in the migration of large numbers of people fleeing war. This leads to an increase in episodes of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental and behavioral disorders. In this regard, millions of people are deprived of the opportunity to receive timely and qualified psychological help. The author illustrates, through a concrete case study, the psychological challenges faced by refugees, including reactions to stress and adaptation disorders, and provides solutions to address them.
