Description
Summary:This article aims to look at Genoa Bolzaneto Nino Bixio barracks through a perspective that combines reality and fiction. Just like in the two texts: Genova, il posto sbagliato written by Enrica Bartesaghi, the president of the Truth and Justice Committee for Genoa, and Teorema dell’incompletezza written by the demonstrator and novelist Valerio Callieri. In July 2001, during the G8 Summit, the barracks became a temporary prison, and a crime, which at the time did not exist in the Italian Penal Code was committed there: torture. Despite the extraordinary nature of such an experience, many people managed to write their own first-hand accounts and, even in turn, to obtain a form of justice, albeit partial. The story of Bolzaneto has also been expressed through a literary style that has given voice to the incredible: where expectations, but also the fear of not being believed, are taken to new heights. A style in which traces of memory can come to life and inhabit places and landscapes like the scenes of a drama: the novel.
