The article looks at the examples of the book Getúlio Vargas para crianças, written by Alfredo Barroso and illustrated by Fernando Dias da Silva, published in 1942 by the Grande Consórcio de Suplementos Nacionais Ltda.; and A Story of « King Coffee », written by Costa Neves and illustrated by Geraldo Castro, published in 1939 by the Departamento Nacional do Café.
