Description
Summary:The Cigeo nuclear waste landfill project carried out by the National Agency for Radioactive Waste (Andra) in Bure, south of the Meuse (France), has been locally contested for several decades. This protest took the form of a permanent occupation of bois Lejuc between August 2016 and February 2018, with a close operation of the areas to be defended (Zad) of Notre-Dame-des-Landes. Based on stays in the occupied wood and examination of the texts produced around this occupation, the article proposes an analysis of the occupation of bois Lejuc focusing on three aspects: the spatial organization of the occupation, the trajectories and practices of the occupants and the communication strategies of this struggle.
