Summary:Through the analysis of the engine oil pump gear transmission wear on engine performance and service life of the decisive role,the requirements of improving gear wear resistance is put forward.High performance powder metallurgy gear material is developed and wear characteristics of comparative study with alloy steel gear is carried out.And the results show the powder metallurgy helical gears manufactured in warm compaction technique have good wearability and low cost,and the fuel supply decreased less,the use requirements of various working conditions of engines is satisfied,and the prospect of market application is wide.
