description The CKD<sub>6E</sub>6000 locomotive was designed with platform technology. The design and main technical parameters of CKD<sub>6E</sub>6000 hybrid shunting locomotive were introduced. The control strategies of the locomotive in different modes were described. The test and application results showed that the locomotive traction performance met the requirements with friend working environment and obvious effect of fuel saving and emission reduction, which has a good application prospect.
