Description
Summary:Objective To analyze the effect of repeated low level red light(LLRL)therapy on myopic children of different ages and genders. Methods A total of 60 myopic children receiving outpatient treatment in Cangzhou Central Hospital from January 2022 to October 2023 were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 30cases in each group. The control group only wore single-lens myopia glasses, and the experimental group was given repeated LLRL therapy on the basis of the control group. The axial length, spherical equivalent(SE),therapeutic effectand adverse reactions were compared in myopic children of different ages and genders before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there were statistically significant differences in axial length and SE in children of different ages and genders between the two groups(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the axial length and SE of the experimental group before treatment and 6 months after treatment(P>0.05). After 6 months of treatment, the axial length of children with all ages and children with all genders in the control group was significantly increased compared with that before treatment, and SE was significantly decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05). There was statistical significance in the axial length,SE of children with different ages and genders after 6 months of treatment in the experimental group(P<0.05). After 6 months of treatment, the axial length in experimental group were significantly lower than those in control group, and SE were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05). The therapeutic effect of children aged 6-8 years and females in the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the occurrence of adverse reactions in children of different ages and genders between the two groups and in children of the same group between different ages and genders(P>0.05).Conclusion Repeated LLRL therapy has a certain effect and good safety on myopic children, especially in children aged 6-8 years and females.
