| Summary: | In order to achieve higher levels of production and development in poultry farming, it is necessary to implement nutritional strategies such as the use of macro and micronutrients, which allow obtaining a final product of higher quality and better nutritional content; zinc being one of the essential trace elements in poultry diets, essential for a series of biological processes to take place; essential for normal growth, good health and fertility, bone and feather development, and appetite control; this research was born with the objective of evaluating the effect of different levels of zinc in the diet of broiler chickens, through a descriptive methodology using an experimental method, with a quantitative approach, with three treatments (20, 40 and 80 ppm of zinc), a control group (0 ppm of zinc), six repetitions made up of ten birds, twenty-four experimental units, for a total of two hundred and forty birds; with a completely randomized design, evaluated through statistical software (SPSS version 26). The results show that the zinc content supplemented in the diet did not yield significant differences for the variables feed intake, weight gain, final live weight, carcass weight, breast weight, and mortality. Regarding the variables feed conversion, carcass yield, and breast yield, the results show that supplementation with 40 ppm of zinc significantly improved these variables compared to the previous ones. |
