| Summary: | This study presents previously unpublished materials from the Mayachny Bugor II burial ground (Krasny Yar district, Astrakhan region). The article details the findings from the examination of birch bark fragments of a gugu hat found in a twin burial 70. During archaeological excavations, the burial yielded weapons alongside personal and household items; coins provided an exact dating to the early XIV century. The article examines the birch bark fragments, identifies the structural components of the preserved parts, proposes a pattern for the lost elements, and conducts a comparative analysis with monuments featuring similar structural and technological solutions. Through analysis, synthesis, and an analogical search, we propose a version for the headdress reconstruction. The use of modeling and physical reconstruction enabled the creation of graphical shape. |
