description Change is inevitable in any field, and thus public order institutions must be prepared to comply, becoming flexible to face new demands and opportunities, as well as risks and threats. The actions associated with the post accession phase to European structures, such as modernization and functional restructuring, the creation of community police structures, operational transparency, and international cooperation, have raised numerous challenges at the management system level. In practice, this endeavor proves to be difficult, which is why change management within public order and safety organizations becomes a vital and complex process for their adaptation and evolution in an ever-changing environment. Organizațional culture can strongly influence the way change is perceived and adopted, being particularly important how it is understood and used as a crucial tool in the change management process The main objective of this study is to analyze the interaction between change and organizational culture, demonstrating the ways in which the latter affects the change process.
