Summary:The present research focuses on the “first-line actors” that constitute today the healthcare and social work professionals. New scopes of practice, which oblige these professionals to rethink their forms of action, have been created by regulatory change under new legislations and by the living conditions of populations living in precarious situations. In the actual social context, some sociological categories are indeed faced to structural vulnerability, which have a significant impact on sanitary and social accompanying. Given these observations, the present contribution aims to present the first results of a collaborative research conducted in the Nord-Pas de Calais Region with healthcare and social work professionals, whose work is often ignored, underestimated or even depreciated.
