Description
Summary:Atherosclerosis is the only human disease genetically "assigned" to everybody. Multiple agents and methods for atherosclerosis treatment have a single target - blood lipids. Decreasing their levels by 10% is associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk reduction by 18%, and cardiovascular death risk reduction by 10%. Diet modification role in atherosclerosis prevention is hard to overestimate. Plant stanols, contained in Finnish Benecol products, reduce plasma total cholesterol (CH) by 10%, and in combination with diet - by 15%. Benecol products decrease CH adsorption by 50-80%. Regular intake of plant stanol products is recommended to patients with dyslipidemia, to individuals with normal CH level but high CBD risk, and to everybody eager to maintain good health and workability for years.
