In response to an initial assessment made by Bruno Queysanne in the columns of the CRAUP in the early 1980s, this article takes a look at one of the key episodes in the process of scientification of the architectural discipline: Corda’s call for tenders. Introduced in 1971 and continued until the end of the decade, this policy of funding and guiding architectural research, still in its infancy at the time, gave prominence to the historical discipline, whose links with the world of architecture had until then remained tenuous. Corda’s calls mark a decade that proved to be a pivotal moment for architectural history. |
