Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the research of the factors and the trends of the transformation of value chains in the light industry in the context of robotization of the economy. The following trends were revealed: growth of instability and dynamism; changing the sequence of links and transformation from linear to network structure; localization within national and regional boundaries; prosumerism; strengthening the diversity of intra- and inter-sectoral ties; changes in the distribution of profitability and power between individual links in favor of information and analytical, logistics structures and electronic trading platforms; reducing the impact of labor costs as a factor in the fragmentation of the value chain; increased transparency; reducing the need for outsourcing and simplifying value chains influenced by robotization. The inconsistency of some trends indicates an active phase of the structural transformation of value chains in light industry.
