| Summary: | The determination of radiation levelis important in living areas for human health. The aim of this study is todetermine environmental radiation in the beach sands of Tatvan, Ahlat andAdilcevaz. Environmental gamma radiation and alpha-beta concentrationsdetermined for 15 different points. It has used portable gamma survey meterwhich is NaI(TI) scintillation detector. Also, it has used portable alpha-betasurvey meter which consist of ZnS(Ag)scintillator adhered to 0.25 cm (0.010 in) thick plastic scintillator.Obtained results were compared with literature. |
