| Summary: | Efforts made by the European Commission to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and implicitly the dependence on the import from Russia in the context of the current war in Ukraine, are becoming more and more significant. Road freight transport is among the sectors that use a significant amount of fossil fuel and which implicitly also release a large amount of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The purpose of the research is to analyze using a generous sample of 9167 cars that only carry out road transport of goods, the willingness of transport companies to reduce fossil fuel consumption through voluntary measures and to align with industry regulations. |
