| Summary: | Stunting is one of the health problems in toddlers caused by chronic malnutrition due to low maternal understanding of nutritional intake, which affects feeding practices in toddlers. One of the efforts to increase mothers' knowledge in preventing stunting is application-based feeding rules education. This study aims to analyze the effect of application-based feeding rules education on maternal knowledge in stunting prevention efforts. The research method is a quasi-experimental pre-post test with a control group with a purposive sampling technique of as many as 40 mothers who have toddlers. Respondents were divided into two groups, namely intervention and control. Maternal knowledge was measured using a questionnaire before and after the intervention for 1 month. Data analysis used bivariate independent sample T-tests and multivariate analysis of multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was an average difference between the intervention and control groups of 2.45 with a p-value of 0.004. Confounding variables that have a contribution to maternal knowledge are education by 2.49 with a p-value of 0.005. The conclusion is that there is an effect of providing application-based feeding rules education on maternal knowledge in stunting prevention efforts at Cipondoh Health Center, Tangerang City. The application-based feeding rules education program is expected to be integrated into health services as an effort to prevent stunting in toddlers. |
