description In order to rationally select the design parameters of slurry cooling flue gas de-whitening and evaluate its water saving effect. The reasons for the formation of flue gas wet plume, the influencing factors and the principle of slurry cooling flue gas de-whitening was introduced in this paper. The effect of flue gas temperature on heat exchanger heat transfer load and the effect of water temperature on circulating cooling water volume were analyzed. Based on the analysis of the factors affecting the water balance of the desulfurization system, a calculation method for the water balance of the desulfurization system based on the design coal parameters and liquid ammonia consumption was proposed. The water balance process design of the desulfurization system was given. The water saving effect of the flue gas de-whitening process of 320MW unit was analyzed. The results show that the water-saving efficiency can reach as high as 49.0% even under extreme high temperature conditions of 40℃.
