description In this paper, the wave disaster data of Jiangsu Province from 2003 to 2022 is used to analyze the disaster situation, and the third generation wave model SWAN is used to simulate the wave characteristics of Jiangsu sea area. The research and analysis results of wave disaster characteristics of Jiangsu Sea area show that: The whole coastal area of Jiangsu is mainly dominated by northeast and southeast wave, and the large wave occurs from August to September, and the distribution of large wave has obvious seasonal and regional differences.
