description Background. Corydalis marschalliana a perennial herbaceous oligocarpic tuberous ephemeroid. The species is listed in The Red Book of Penza region (category 3). Materials and methods. The author's research was conducted from 2022 to 2024 during the period of mass flowering of C. marschalliana in the territory of the protected area “Yasenevayadubrava” of Penza region. In order to identify the features of ontogenesis, the dynamics of the number of individuals and assess the current state of the population C. marschalliana in the Penza region, the data obtained were compared with similar indicators from literary sources (2013). Results and discussion. The frequency of ontogenetic states has changed over the past 11 years. The base spectrum shifted from the pronounced right-hand side to the left. Individuals of pregenerative states predominate. Conclusion. The CP is full-membered, has a stable density and low number, self-sustainment is moderate.
