description Abstract In order to improve the effect of English education curriculum reform, this paper combines the intelligent translation system based on machine translation to conduct research on English education curriculum reform. Aiming at the problem of efficient retrieval of English documents, this paper proposes a Text semantic recognition model retrieval method based on the combination of global and local features, which makes full use of the advantages of global features and local features to obtain complementary features, thereby improving retrieval performance. Moreover, this paper proposes an improved local feature method, which considers the semantic relationship between local features and represents the local features as a distribution of compressed visual words. Besides, this paper proposes an efficient two-stage matching strategy to evaluate the correlation of input English documents with Text semantic recognition model. On three datasets, the accuracy of the Con Se Agent model was 83.32%, 75.93%, and 79.68%, respectively, which were the highest among all models. The experimental group showed a steady increase in students’ English grades after receiving English teaching assisted by the model proposed in this article, while the control group used traditional teaching methods and achieved relatively stable English grades through comparative analysis. From the statistical results of the experimental data, it can be seen that the intelligent translation system based on machine translation proposed in this paper has a very good effect on promoting the reform of English education.
