Description
Summary:This paper analyzes the role of women on the front lines in Serbia during the Great War. Inspired by a letter from a 20th century French writer, which prompted the surveying of regiments to collect data, we highlighted the participation of women fighters in 1914 and 1915. The aim of this paper is to show the involvement of several women in Serbian history, who showed their potential, abilities, and as female fighters stood side by side with men at the front, with a rifle in hand. A review of literary and archival data will provide an insight into the participation of women at the front.
