Flavonoids, phenols, carotenoids, sterols, glucosinolates, alkaloids, polyacetylenes, coumarins, saponins, and terpenoids are the main constituents which offer benefits to human health. In this context, this review aimed to highlight medicinal beverages’ origin, physico-chemical properties, and bio-functionality, focusing mainly on olive leaf extracts and their bioactive components that have not been extensively studied. |
