description The aesthetic dimension of the human life didn’t occupy the center in Karl Marx and Friederich Engels’ work, but starting from the presuppositions “ontológicos”, “gnosiológicos” and “axiológicos” of the works becomes possible to find reflections that relate the art in the capitalist society. For this work breaks of the conception that the Marxism integrates the aesthetics into the man and with that it turns possible to treat of a new society. Like this, the school becomes the privileged space for “this new man”, as atmosphere (public school) in that to the workers’ classes possesses the opportunity to appropriate of the knowledge built historically, as instrument of social transformation, emancipation of the capitalist imperatives that subdue the classes pobres. The main problem of this work is verified in the art as dimension of the society characterized as privilege of the dominant class. Through the philosophy of the art, of the Marxist aesthetics, becomes possible to treat of the problem art, society and school.
