| Summary: | Un conditions of globalization and information saturation of the time, the issue of artistic and aesthetic education of students based on the education of patriotic orientation in them acquires special importance. The analysis of the concept of artistic and aesthetic education in Ukrainian institutions of higher education in the second half of the 20th-early 21st century is the basis for determining effective ways to solve modern education problems. The article raises the question of whether specially organized conditions are provided for the spiritual enrichment of the individual by means of art alongside the formation of aesthetic culture, worldviews. Was artistic and aesthetic education of students of sufficient importance as a basis for patriotism in the past decades? Were methods of artistic and aesthetic education based on national culture and art developed in higher education? The system of modern education in Ukraine as a strategic branch of the state must correspond to the existing principles of economic relations, society’s attitude towards them and the level of educational needs. In recent years, much has been done to determine the directions of activities of general secondary and higher education institutions and direct them to promising development paths. It has been proven that the successful achievement of this goal depends on many factors, but one of the key factors, is the education of future citizens of Ukraine with a high level of artistic and aesthetic culture on the basis of national patriotic self-awareness. The modern school is designed to form the awareness of cultural values, the need to accumulate artistic experience and use it as a basis for harmonizing one’s attitude to the surrounding world. The formation of patriotism should be intertwined with artistic and aesthetic education based on the study of many examples of national culture and art: literature, music and visual arts. The article determines that the complexity, breadth and multidimensionality of the problem of artistic and aesthetic education in higher education and its connections with real life require the use of existing experience in this field and the development of new approaches. The study of the heritage of Ukrainian pedagogical theory and practice will contribute to the improvement of the work on raising the cultural level and honouring the patriotic component of the modern personality. |
