Description
Summary:We report an unusual case of conjunctival dermoid which presented with hair growth in the inferior fornix. Case report: An 8-year-old girl presented to us with chronic irritation and foreign body sensation in her left eye which was treated at multiple hospitals as allergic conjunctivitis. On examination, there was a tuft of hair growth in the inferior conjunctival fornix. Excision biopsy was performed, and the histopathology report concluded to be a conjunctival dermoid. Post-operatively, there was no recurrence noted at 6 months. Conjunctival dermoid can also present as a conjunctival hair follicle growth which can be treated by simple excision.
