Summary:Abstract A patient with schizoaffective disorder and receiving long‐term treatment with lithium developed prolonged delirium. She had recently been diagnosed with stage IVB endometrial cancer and presented a deteriorating general condition. Toxic levels of lithium were measured in serum. After hemodialysis, lithium levels gradually decreased and the symptoms disappeared completely.
