| description | The paper deals with the results of a study on the features of the Golden Horde long-ranged weapon set (primarily iron arrowheads) in different regions of the Ulus of Jochi (Northwestern Black Sea, Azov Sea, Steppe Kuban, Don River, Lower Volga, Middle Volga, Ural River and Southern Urals, Central and Eastern Kazakhstan, forest-steppe Altai). Based on this analysis, hypotheses were proposed regarding the possible factors that determined the developmental trends of long-range weaponry elements. The study also examined the ratio between authentically Mongol types of arrowheads and types characteristic of the peoples subjugated by the Mongols. An explanation is provided for the reasons behind the differences in this ratio across specific regions of the Golden Horde for which sufficiently representative archaeological data exists.
