| description | This paper aims to emphasize the gaps between the cultural profiles of hightech companies from Japan, Romania, Tunisia and Turkey in the context of open innovation approach. The goal is to assess the cultural profiles of the firms included in the sample, by determining a percentage distribution of Technology Isolationists, Technology Fountains, Technology Sponges and Technology Brokers. The questionnaire was implemented through structured interviews conducted within 100 companies from each country. The findings show that in the case of Japanese hightech firms there are no significant differences within their distribution in these four clusters, while in Tunisia and Turkey the Technology Brokers are placed on the first place and in Romania the majority of the high-tech firms are assigned to Technology Sponges. |
