Description
Summary:Secular education was established excluding religion and spirituality (the latter was put in the same category as religion). But the relations between secular education and spirituality raise again a problem nowadays. There is some space for the spirituality separate from the religion in secular education. Initially (Quinet, Buisson, Jaurès), the secular education was a spiritual secular education and the republican school was a school without any religion but not without any spirituality. While differentiating the religious, the religion, the spirituality, three times can be distinguished: the times of the religion, of the post-religion, of the spirituality. In the time of spirituality today, secular education can play an important part while making space to the spirituality of infinite with the education to the sublime through the great poetic, literary and artistic works.
