Summary:The article reveals the problems of assessing the reliability of evidence obtained during verbal and non-verbal investigative actions, as well as the features of the formation of minors’ testimony. The author believes that in order to confirm the reliability of sources of information obtained in crime investigations involving minors, it is necessary to use special knowledge. A list of criteria indicating the unreliability of expert and specialist conclusions is provided. Purpose: to develop general recommendations on criminalistic support for the participation of minors in verbal investigative actions, allowing to ensure a high level of reliability of their testimony, as well as tactical recommendations on the use of special knowledge in the course of obtaining reliable evidence of minors. Methods: empirical methods of comparison, description, theoretical methods of formal and dialectical logic. Results: the article reveals gaps in the legal regulation of participation of minors in verbal investigative actions and formulates criminalistic recommendations to ensure reliable testimony of minors.
