| Summary: | The background of research and development,the innovation in structural design,the overall design scheme and the technological superiorities for the YK2180 CNC spiral bevel gear format generator is presented. By using the coated high- speed steel cutter with cemented carbide,the dry cutting could be applied. And its cutting efficiency is twice as much as that of Y2280. The cutting precision could reach the grade 8,which will be perfectly satisfy the demand for finish broaching. If the gear grinding is needed after quench hardening of tooth surface,the finish（ or the half finish） machining is not essential before heating. |
