Research has revealed that environmental and host factors, particularly diet, drive significant variations in microbial composition, which in turn shape host epigenetics through microbial components and metabolites. Furthermore, the strong correlation between the gut microbiota and host health presents opportunities for improving growth performance in the livestock industry. |
