description In this article, we try to analyze a corpus which is composed of the playful activities suggested in the three French textbooks in order to show the importance of these tools in the developement ok skills of algerian learners. On the one hand, we seek to apprehend the representations that the designers of these textbooks have of playful dimensions in the teaching/learning of the FFL. On the other hand, we want to determine the place granted to the playful activities, the impact as well as the prospects for the teaching exploitation for fun in language class. We take account of the requirements of the teaching approaches and the aims of the teaching of French in Algeria within the framework of the new reform.
