| Summary: | Subject to the imperative of performance, high-level sport is permeable to the anthropological project of an augmented body (Queval, 2016). However, the techno-digital matrix and its innovative promises are transforming uses and beliefs by developing a favorable terrain for all dynamics of optimizing sports performance, real or imagined. This article questions the impact of this data culture on the practices and representations of professional sports coaches. Central figures in the process of manufacturing sporting excellence, coaches have ambivalent relationships with digital instruments for collecting and automatically processing data. The characteristics of the condition of coach are decisive for understanding the dynamics of appropriation and rejection, often intertwined, which qualify their postures. |
