| Summary: | The text considers two versions of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, one year after the outbreak of the conflict. These are the two presidential speeches made on the anniversary: two texts that present two different declinations of a disaster that is evidently mutual. Oscillating between the pole of crisis (solvable and understandable) and the pole of catastrophe (irrational and existential), the two discourses define disasters that are almost diametrically opposed, from an actorial, temporal, and agency point of view. The two texts thus draw two different configurations of the disaster, between the geopolitical dimension on the one hand and the existential and identity dimension on the other. |
